Brooke Richardson, MS, CCC-SLP/L is a speech-language pathologist caring for adults across the continuum of care, from ICU to outpatient, since 2009.
She has taught thousands of clinicians internationally, and has been instrumental in starting and growing RMT programs.
Brooke founded Breathehab with a mission to improve patient outcomes through high-quality, interdisciplinary respiratory muscle training. She believes that clinically-rooted education is key to optimizing care.

Who is this course for?
This course is perfect for clinicians throughout the continuum of care. It's primarily designed for people who will be actually implementing RMT; however, we've welcomed several providers who want to deeply understand RMT better for their patients.

Certification is an optional benefit We believe that certifications should be optional and should focus on impartial best practices AND supporting the clinician. What's the RMT Toolkit, and is that included?

Do I get a device with registration?
No; this prevents confusion about promotion/endorsement of a specific product, and helps to keep participant costs reasonable.
Can I share course content with colleagues or use it to train others?
You're welcome to reference general RMT concepts and benefits in brief professional presentations in your workplace (20-30 minutes maximum overview content only). However, the detailed content including training protocols, methodologies, and comprehensive curriculum and handouts/resources are copyrighted materials exclusively for enrolled participants and cannot be shared, used to train others, or incorporated into derivative works of any kind.
If your colleagues or organization need RMT training, please have them contact me directly about enrollment. I offer group rates and can arrange organizational training sessions where all participants are properly enrolled.
These terms of use help me maintain course quality while keeping training accessible and affordable for everyone.
Can one person register and multiple people attend?
Each registration provides access to the course and its content for the named registrant only; each person must register individually to take the course. If you have a group of 5 or more professionals (or students), please send an email to inquire about a group discount. The course content, materials, and all associated assets are licensed for individual use only. You may not use the course or its content to create derivative works, including training additional staff members / coworkers who did not register for and attend the course.

- Affiliated with RMT equipment/device companies (including, but not limited to, representatives, owners, educators, device designer/creator/consultants, social media managers, employees, or contractors) [Exception: Device distributors who wish to register for purposes unrelated to course replication or competitive offerings must contact us directly at support@breathehab.com to request written permission before enrolling.]
- Currently offering, or plan to offer (whether as an instructor or business), respiratory muscle training-related courses or training materials to clinicians, device companies, for-profit continuing education platforms, clients, patients, students, etc.
- Intending to use course content to train others (eg, act as a representative for a group with intent to train others at your organization; create material for another education platform; etc.)
- A patient, care partner, or other non-clinician (instead, seek the services of a qualified health professional)

Do I have to be certified to provide RMT?
To our knowledge, there is no professional certification requirement for this modality; however, always practice within your scope and direct competency questions to your licensing board.
How can I ask a question about something in the course, or about a patient?
This course does not include instructor access for follow-up questions via email, DMs, etc. However, you can submit questions through Breathehab in Minutes (which is included in the certification program), and Brooke is available for a limited number of real-time, 1:1 virtual consults. You may book Brooke for 1:1 time HERE.

If you cancel on or within 14 days of the course, or no-show: No refunds.
If you cancel in writing more than 14 days before the course: Refund less a $100 processing fee.

In the event that a course must be canceled by Brooke Richardson or the Hosting Facility, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule the course; participants will be able to transfer their registration to the rescheduled course. If rescheduling in a timely manner is not possible, participants may be offered a full refund and/or access to an online version of the course, if available. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
